Maxxroyal Cup 2018 starts in South Africa

After a successful 2017 with a wonderful finals in Maxxroyal Belek – over 120 golfers – full course and excellent customer attention, the Maxxroyal Cup 2018 starts new frontiers with their first events in South Africa.

Following the path of the TGRA – Top Golf Resort Alliance – the first 2018 events started in Peral Valley Golf Resort and Steenberg Golf Club around Cape Town.

A special thanks here to our South African partners- Golf Data PLC – for the smooth organization, allowing a very good number of passionate golf player to attend the first step of this prestigious cup.

As the name implies, theJack Nicklaus Signature golf course truly bears the stamp of the world’s preeminent golf course designer. Golf Digest has named the course as ‘Best Conditioned’ in the Western Cape from 2010 – 2019 Since 2006 the course has consistently been placed among the top ten in South Africa and ranked as the 5thbest in the country in 2018/2019 by Golf Digest magazine.

Elizabeth Anna Heydenrych was the deserved winner of a very tight competition and will enjoy the invitation to the Maxxroyal Finals in December 5-9th. Conducted in the frames of a charity night, Maxxroyal was proud to bring their small contribution for the needs of a local school program.

Following stop in the 2018 calendar: Steenberg Golf Club. Sampling some of Steenberg’s award-winning wines at the estate winery, or experience fine dining in exquisite surrounds at Catharina’s Restaurant Steenberg Golf Club brought the Maxxroyal Cup to new territories. Other attractions include a luxury spa, 5-star hotel, exclusive Club House and a collection of original artworks by the likes of Cecil Skotnes and Edoardo Villa, both highly respected South African artists.

The 3 days format allowed Greg McLeroth with net rounds of 68/69 and 71 to win by 3 strokes the invitation to the finals of Maxxroyal Cup.

Our first events in South Africa, opened not only new ways to a fantastic partnership with these clubs but allowed us also, to win new friends in a country where golf has a fantastic tradition.
